In order to confirm service cancellations in the event of bad weather, please refer to our local television stations:

Fox 5, ABC 7, or News Channel 8 for updates or by tuning in to radio stations 103.5 FM, 103.9 FM or 107.7 FM

Additionally, cancellation updates can be viewed from our website or by calling the church office voicemail.

RESERVED HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACES:

-Members & Friends -

We are requesting your assistance in keeping the reserved handicapped parking spaces located in the front of the church and the rear of the church cleared for those in need.  If your car does not have the identifiable handicap placards or decals then please refrain from parking in those spaces and/or moving the traffic cones.

Let's remain courteous and keep those spaces accessible for those in need.  Thank You.

Mt. Zion Baptist Church now has a notary, Sis Jeanie Smiling (Finacial Secretary). If you need a notary she is available: 

Monday through Friday 8 am - 4 pm.

 

helping with Children's nursery ministry

We are looking for Saints to volunteer help for the Children's Nursery on Sundays. Must be ages 13 and up. For more information, contact Deaconess Marie Michael at 540-720-5977

Members interested in joining one of the best ministries here at Mt. Zion, come out in September to the Sr. Ushers Ministry Meeting and be a part of the face of MZBC. barefoot sunday

We have partnered with Soles4Souls to help collect new and gently used shoes for the 900 million people living in extreme poverty around the world. You can make a difference by going barefoot with us and bringing shoes to donate!

Donations for augustfest

August-Fest is in Full Force: Friday, June 1st, we will begin collecting items, for this great Community Event. Please note the drop off days and times: You may drop off items on Fridays between 8:30am and 3pm. Tuesdays from 6pm to 7:30pm, Saturdays from 9am to 12pm, and Sundays before Morning Worship and After Morning Worship. All items are to be dropped off in the Multi-Purpose Room ONLY. Thanks so much for your blessed donations and support. We are still seeking volunteers. Hard work pays off.

Men's choir and Men's ministry        suit pickup

 

Better Menswear of Fredericksburg will arrive onsite  (Choir room RM 117, 1st level) on the 4th Sunday August 26th from 8 am to 1 pm for suit delivery and pickup. At that time, any unpaid balance for suit purchase in the amount of $150 will be expected of each member. Payment can be made by cash, check, or credit card. Please make yourself available. If this date is in conflict please make arrangements to visit their local Fredericksburg store located at 4924 South Point Parkway, Fredericksburg, VA 22407. Please see Dea. Thomas/Bro. Saturday, September 8, 2018, the Senior and Young Girlz Ministry will join thousands of participants at the Freedom Plaza, 14th & Pennsylvania Ave., Washington DC for the 2018, Susan G. Komen Race for the cure in effort to make a continued impact on a Cure for Breast Cancer.

For Homecoming Sunday, our Sunday school will begin at 9:45 am and our Morning Worship Service will begin at 11 am.

Pastor will be preaching at Star Bethlehem Baptist Church, in Triangle, VA, Sunday, September 23rd, at 3 pm, for their Annual Homecoming Service. The Sanctuary Choir will render the music, all Ushers and members are asked to accompany. Dinner will be served.

gospel worship experience scholarship program

There will be a Gospel Worship Experience October 6th from 5-8:30 pm. This worship experience will be an empowering celebration for the love of Jesus Christ. Recommended ticket donations are $10 for Adults. All Children are free. Proceeds from the GWE will be used to support scholarships that will be given the night of the concert. We would love for each child recognized to receive a wonderful blessing.
