Rev. Dr. Alfred Jones, Jr.
Dr. Alfred Jones, Jr. was born in the city of Ruther Glen, Virginia
to the Late Deaconess Isaline Jones and the Late Deacon Alfred Jones, Sr. He is the eldest of eleven children.
As a child he attended the public schools of Caroline County, Virginia. He also accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. Dr. Jones joined Mount Oni Baptist Church and remained a faithful member until God called him to the Gospel Ministry.
Dr. Jones has been married to Deaconess Goldie Jones for
51 years and God has blessed them with six wonderful
children.
Dr. Jones' education is very diverse; it includes various
institutions of higher learning, to name a few, the Washington
Bible College, Washington Baptist Seminary and Virginia
Union University of Theology.
Dr. Jones served as pastor for several churches before he
was called to preach here at Mount Zion Baptist Church of
Triangle, VA. He has served as the Pastor faithfully with
us for nearly 37 years.
Additionally, he currently serves as Chaplain for the Prince
William County Police Department and also as Chaplain for
Sentara Potomac Hospital; Chairman of the Northern Virginia
Commission on Evangelism and Former Co-President of the Eastern Prince William Ministerial Association. Dr. Jones is a Gospel Preacher and LOVES to do the work of the Lord.
